Harlyn Cottage is a beautifully converted former farm building at Merlin Farm, set in peaceful countryside on the outskirts of Mawgan Porth. Surrounded by rolling fields, woodland and wildlife, it offers the perfect combination of tranquillity and easy access to Cornwall’s stunning North Coast.
The cottage sleeps up to four guests and features a bright, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, with a striking glass frontage bringing the countryside right into the cottage. A cosy woodburner and ground-source underfloor heating make Harlyn warm and welcoming throughout the year.
The ground floor has a comfortable king-size bedroom and a luxurious bathroom with both a bath and walk-in shower. Upstairs, the twin bedroom has its own ensuite shower room.
Outside, guests have their own enclosed private courtyard with dining furniture and beautiful countryside views – a peaceful spot for morning coffee, an evening drink or simply watching the wildlife.
Harlyn is also family-friendly, with baby equipment available.
Exploring North Cornwall:
Mawgan Porth village and its beautiful sandy beach are approximately a 15-minute walk from Merlin Farm, via countryside and a public footpath. The beach is perfect for swimming, surfing, rock pooling and relaxing, while the village offers places to eat, a pub, shops and other amenities.
There are **five beautiful beaches within five miles**, making it easy to discover somewhere different each day. Watergate Bay is nearby, while Newquay, Padstow and many of North Cornwall’s attractions are within easy driving distance. Coastal, countryside and woodland walks can be enjoyed directly from the farm.
For days out, guests can explore Newquay, visit the Eden Project, discover the picturesque fishing town of Padstow, or enjoy Cornwall's gardens, attractions and dramatic coastline.
