Modern style lakehouse with a private hot tub, two-story screened-in porch, and incredible indoor-outdoor living on Lake Mascoma. Set on a secluded two-acre waterfront property, this award-winning architectural home sleeps up to 9 and includes a shared sandy beach, kayaks, canoes, paddleboard, and more — all just steps from your door.
Designed to bring the outdoors in, the home is filled with natural light and lake views. The dramatic two-story screened porch is a favorite place for morning coffee, family dinners, or an evening drink, while the private hot tub overlooking the lake makes the setting just as enjoyable after the sun goes down.
The home sleeps up to 9 guests across three bedrooms, a daybed, and a loft. Throughout the house, you’ll find creative architectural details and thoughtfully upcycled materials that helped earn the home Vermont architecture awards when it was built.
Enjoy the shared sandy, shallow-entry beach — particularly nice for families with young children — or take one of the boats out to explore Lake Mascoma. Three kayaks, two canoes, a paddleboat, and a stand-up paddleboard are available for guests and shared between the two homes on the property on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bringing your own boat? A mooring may be available upon request for a powerboat, pontoon boat, sailboat, or Jet Ski. Please note that the moorings are quite shallow, around 2 feet of water, and may not be able to accommodate larger boats or boats with a large draft.
The lakehouse shares this secluded two-acre property with one other home, The Shaker Cottage. Lake Mascoma borders the property on one side and a small river another, giving the a wonderfully tucked-away feel with water, woods, and plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors.
Lake access, the beach, and watercraft are shared between the two homes. The lakehouse itself — including its hot tub and living spaces — is yours to enjoy privately.
Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of fresh Vermont Coffee Company coffee, and thoughtful touches for families, including a kid-friendly cupboard and play space and a pack-n-play. We’re parents too, and we’ve tried to include the little things that make traveling with children easier.
Rent the lakehouse on its own for a memorable Lake Mascoma getaway, or reserve it together with The Shaker Cottage next door for larger groups: Serene Two-Acre Estate on Lake Mascoma. It’s a great setup for extended families or friends who want to vacation together while still having their own space.
