About this house rental
We love having our coffee and meals outside on the front porch, watching the fireflies on Summer nights, and occasionally seeing our neighborhood bears cross the yard! Close to shopping, restaurants, and hiking trails.
The space
Our home is tucked away at the end of a dead-end street in a residential neighborhood and includes 2 separate units with a large shared porch.
The main house has a private queen bedroom, a full bathroom with tub/shower combo and a stacked washer/dryer, a cozy living area, and a small kitchen.
Bedroom 2 is a studio with 1 king bed, a seating area with a futon sofa, and a private full bathroom with a shower stall. Shelves are stocked with board games and books for all ages, a record player, a guitar, and playing cards.
We love to share meals and play board games at the outdoor dining table on the covered porch, or relax with a coffee or a cold drink in one of the rocking chairs. You can choose to unplug by reading, playing board games, and enjoying the outdoors, but the house also has WiFi if you’re on a work-cation and a Google TV in the living area if you want to unwind with your favorite show. We've included our favorite hiking trails, antique and thrift stores, and restaurants in our guest guide.
*Our house is perfect for families, friends, or coworkers, but please no parties or events.
*Small Kitchen Quirks: no dishwasher! Our kitchen has a small stove, microwave, coffee maker, and apartment-size refrigerator. There is a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking.
*Black Bears enter our yard occasionally. It’s generally safe (& fun) to watch them from the porch or window, but NEVER APPROACH A BEAR, and keep pets leashed for their safety.
*Both units have emergency propane heaters that can be used in the event of a power outage (ie. Winter storm weather).
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house (both units) and the yard surrounding the house.
Other things to note
Very wide trucks may have trouble getting through the narrow driveway, but we have no problems with a standard-sized truck or SUV.
