Bienvenue to FRENCHY HOUSE — a century-old Pasadena cottage that guests swear briefly relocates you to Provence, minus the jet lag and plus a 14-minute stroll to the Rose Bowl.
This is a beautifully restored 100-year-old house in full très joli costume: French Country draperies that refuse to behave, playful textiles, and that mix of new and antique furniture that looks like a village antiques shop decided to stay the night. It isn’t a theme park. It’s the sort of place where morning light hits the oak floors and you forget which ocean you’re on.

Back bedroom — Queen Suite: queen bed, and the bathroom is yours from inside the room (no hallway diplomacy).
Front bedroom: queen bed.
Middle bedroom: twin bed.
Front and middle share a Jack-and-Jill bath — a door from each room, like neighboring farmhouses that learned to share a well.
Under the romance: a new gas stove with griddle, new oak hardwood, new white hexagon and subway tile, new porcelain pedestal sinks, tubs, and toilets. Keypad lock, so the party can trickle in without a treasure hunt for keys.The space, in short
