The Space:

A warm, single-level 4-bedroom brick home in Ōwhata, on the sunny eastern side of Rotorua. Two living areas and a fully renovated kitchen flow out through wide sliding doors to a covered patio and a big flat lawn - the kind of place where the kids run outside after breakfast and the adults follow with a coffee.

- BEDROOMS -

Bedroom 1 (Master): Queen bed

Sleeps 8 in total, plus a cot for the littlest guest. All bedding and linen supplied.



- BATHROOMS -

Two bathrooms. The main bathroom has a bath, a separate shower and a vanity, with a separate toilet alongside - handy when everyone is getting ready at once. The ensuite has a shower, vanity and toilet. Towels supplied.



- LIVING AREA -

The kitchen has been fully renovated - soft-green cabinetry, a stone island bench, dishwasher, full-size oven and microwave. The dining table sits by the window looking out to the patio. The main lounge has a TV and deep couches, and a second family room with more seating and a bookshelf gives two families or a mixed-age group somewhere to spread out. Both living areas open straight onto the covered patio through sliding doors. A heat pump keeps things comfortable whatever the season.



- OUTDOOR AREA -

A covered brick patio with a big outdoor dining table and seating for the whole group, sheltered enough to use on a drizzly Rotorua day and a sun trap when it's fine. Beyond it a flat, established lawn with mature trees - room for a game of backyard cricket. BBQ available.



- PARKING -

Double garage plus off-street parking for several vehicles on the paved driveway. Lockable bike storage for those bringing bikes for the Redwoods trails.



- LAUNDRY -

Dedicated laundry with washer and dryer.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive use of the entire property - the whole house, covered patio, lawn, garage, driveway and laundry. Make yourself at home. 🏡



The Neighborhood:

Ōwhata is a quiet, established suburb on the eastern shore of Lake Rotorua, a few minutes from the airport and handy to everything on the Rotorua Lakes side of town. The Redwoods Forest and its mountain biking, walking and running trails are under 10 minutes by car, with Te Puia's geysers and Māori cultural experiences about the same. Central Rotorua, the lakefront, the Polynesian Spa and Waiariki Spa are around 12 minutes. Head the other way and you're on the road to Lake Rotoiti, Lake Okareka and Lake Tarawera for swimming, fishing and lake walks.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended and there's plenty of parking in the double garage and on the driveway. Rotorua Airport is only 5 minutes away, so it's an easy start and finish to a fly-in holiday. The Redwoods and Te Puia are about 10 minutes, central Rotorua and the hot pools around 12, and the Skyline Gondola & Luge, Zorb and Canopy Tours around 20 minutes across town.
