About this apartment rental
Welcome to Viv-Down! This one-bedroom apartment is the ground-floor half of a historic beach bungalow on Coastal Highway, and it has a personality all its own - retro appliances in tomato red and seafoam, walls in tangerine and cobalt, and a screened patio that catches the shade all afternoon.
THE SPACE
Everything is on one level, with no stairs to climb. The layout is open, with the kitchen right beside the dining area so nobody is cooking alone in another room. Worth knowing before you book: there is no formal living room, and the sitting space is part of that same open run.
Out back there is a screened patio with seating and a propane grill, and we supply the fuel. Beyond it sits a paver courtyard under a lit pergola with a fire pit, Adirondack chairs and a hot tub.
SLEEPING - UP TO 3 GUESTS
- Bedroom: King bed, ceiling fan, smart TV
- Same room: A futon that opens to a full-size bed for a third guest
One full bathroom off the main living area, with a walk-in tiled shower. No bathtub.
THE KITCHEN
Retro refrigerator with freezer, working cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle, drip coffee maker, cookware, baking sheet, dishes and wine glasses. Please note the oven is decorative only and must not be used, and there is no dishwasher.
SHARED WITH THE UPSTAIRS UNIT
The hot tub, the laundry shed and the pergola courtyard are shared with June-Up, the upstairs apartment. The screened patio and the apartment itself are yours alone. The second floor is a separate rental, so you may see other guests on site during your stay.
LOCATION
Prime Vilano Beach, with the Atlantic to the east and the Intracoastal to the west. Publix is a two-minute drive, in a plaza that rents and sells water-sports gear. Four minutes over the Vilano Bridge is Camachee Cove for boat rentals and deep-sea fishing charters, plus dinner at the Kingfish Grill. Historic downtown St. Augustine is about a five-minute drive.
GOOD TO KNOW

- No smoking, no events
- Check-in 4 PM / Check-out 11 AM
- Primary renter must be 21 or older
- One parking space per unit. Do not park in the neighborhood to the north or you will be towed
- The home sits on a busy main street and you will hear road noise
- Stackable washer and dryer in the exterior shed, WiFi, central AC
- Board games, and a Pack 'n Play available on request with 48 hours notice
