The Space:

Casa Juliana is a beachfront property built around one idea: that a large group should feel at home, not managed. Nine air-conditioned bedrooms spread across the house sleep up to 27 guests, each room with its own full bathroom, Smart TV, Alexa speaker, safe, and ceiling fan. The configurations mix kings, matrimonial doubles, and single add-ons — flexible enough for families, friend groups, and multi-generational trips.

The heart of the house is the main palapa — an open-air pavilion with a bar, a dining table that seats up to 16, a generous lounge area, and an 85" TV for the evenings when you decide to stay in. Everything flows outward toward the pool and the sea: a 15-meter lap pool with bench seating along the full edge, a shallow splash zone shaded by palms for the little ones, and a pergola area beside the water with deep sofas built for afternoons that stretch too long.

A second palapa sits at the edge of the beach — curtained, open on all sides, used for yoga, massage, or early morning movement with the sound of waves underneath. The kitchen is fully equipped and industrial in scale, staffed daily by a cook so that meals — whether an elaborate dinner or a casual lunch after the surf — are handled without anyone missing the sunset.

The beach is literally in front of you. Petates (beach mats) are provided. Depending on the season, you may find surf tournaments or lessons on the break just outside.



Guest Access:

The house is rented exclusively — all nine bedrooms, every common area, the full kitchen, pool, and beach access are yours for the duration of the stay. Check-in begins at 3:00 PM; checkout is at noon. Your contact on arrival is Oliver, who will welcome the group in person and ensure everything is ready. Prior to arrival, you'll receive a brief digital check-in process to confirm your reservation details and receive final access instructions.



The Neighborhood:

Casa Juliana sits on Playa Ventanilla, a quieter stretch of the Oaxacan coast that feels a world away from the main strip — but isn't. Punta Zicatela, Puerto Escondido's famous surf beach and the hub of its restaurant and nightlife scene, is about 10 minutes by car. The international airport is roughly 20 minutes away.

Ventanilla itself is calm: a fishing beach, open sky, the Pacific rolling in without much interruption. Sea turtles nest along this coast seasonally. Neighboring beaches offer consistent waves that attract surfers of all levels, and local instructors are easy to find when the group wants to get in the water with guidance.



Getting Around:

A car or van is ideal for this stretch of coast — especially for larger groups. Taxis and mototaxis are available locally. Zicatela and the Puerto Escondido town center are a short drive, and the airport transfer is straightforward. For a group of this size, arranging private transport in advance is the most comfortable option.



Other Things to Note:

Daily housekeeping is included. The pool is for swimming and lounging — no glass or food in the water. The house runs on Starlink internet, which provides reliable connection throughout the property.

For security purposes, all guests must complete a mandatory digital check-in prior to arrival. This includes submitting a valid ID, completing a registration form, and providing a credit/debit card for a security deposit. This secure process is required to validate your reservation and receive check-in instructions. Failure to complete it may result in denied access without refund.

Our on-site team — including Oliver at the entrance, a daily housekeeper, and a cook for meals — is there to make the stay smooth without being intrusive. We're available by message throughout your stay for anything that comes up. For anything logistical before arrival, we respond quickly and are happy to help coordinate group needs.
