While we are not likely to be onsite to welcome you or during your stay, we are easily accessible and timely in responding via the booking platform website/apps between 6am to 9pm EST. We can also be reached via text message or phone call in the event of an emergency. Our phone number will be provided prior to check in.

This property is located in the Lakewood neighborhood with mature tree lined streets. The property is walking distance to several restaurants and a quick drive to downtown Durham. Target and other stores.

Please be courteous and quiet as this is a family friendly neighborhood.

The door uses the August Home smart lock and can be accessed by sending us your cellphone information prior to check in. Once you provide your cellphone and we add your number, you will receive a text message with additional instructions on how to download the app. Upon arrival to the front door, simply open the August Home app and press the circle to unlock the front door (the phone will sense the door lock via Bluetooth). We will also send you a unique pin pad code either as a backup or for primary use if you prefer not to download the door lock app.

In the event that technology fails, we have a backup lockbox hidden on site for emergency access.

This rental is the entire 3 bedroom house and accessed via the door up the front porch. The entire space is yours and no interior spaces are shared.

Once inside, the property opens to a living room with a couch and two chairs, coffee table and smart tv where you can access your streaming services. Off one side of the living room is the kitchen featuring a refrigerator, electric stove, dishwasher and washer dryer. There is also a dining table in this area. The kitchen includes a microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster, baking sheets, pots, pans, cutlery, etc.

As you continue down the hallway, you will pass the first of three bedrooms featuring a comfortable full/double sized bed which would be ideal if traveling with children.

Continuing down the hallway is the full bath (tub/shower combo), the second bedroom (queen bed) and the master bedroom (king bed) Inside the master bedroom is a half bath.

The bedrooms have closet space and privacy blackout curtains for a comfortable night's sleep.

The entire house has new forced air HVAC for comfortable temperatures year round.

Parking is in the driveway and can fit several cars.

The neighborhood is very walkable and bike able.

You can check the Durham transportation website for the local bus route and other transportation options.

To ensure transparency and clear expectations up front, please note the following for all of our properties:

- VRBO cancellations made within the allowable cancellation window specified for the property will be refunded minus a 3.95% processing fee.

- The fireplace is only decorative. Please DO NOT create a fire of any kind. Thank you for your cooperation.

- We are pet friendly BUT all of our guests do not have pets or appreciate pet hair. Therefore, we charge an extra $60 pet cleaning fee that is passed on entirely to our cleaning crew. This ensures that they spend the extra time removing any pet hair from linens and towels, spend extra time cleaning baseboard trim, wiping fan blades, cleaning HVAC filters, etc. If you do not select "Add Pet" when booking and you stay with a pet, the $60 cleaning fee will be requested from you at checkout. Please select Add Pet in your initial booking to avoid this interaction.

- We absolutely prohibit any and all smoking and drug use at our properties. This behavior makes it extremely difficult to turnover the unit for a new guest likely arriving the same day of your departure. If we find that you have smoked in our property, there will be an extra $200 cleaning fee, you will receive a negative review, and you will not be able to book at our properties in the future. This is a non-negotiable. Do not book if you plan to smoke.

- No parties allowed or loud music after 8pm. Many of our properties are connected duplexes and out of courtesy for neighbors, we ask that there be no gatherings or loud music or unauthorized guests not listed on the reservation. If family or friends are stopping by, please kindly let us know ahead of time .
