A disappointing stay with serious concerns about privacy, security, cleanliness, and overall comfort.
Disappointing Experience Regarding Privacy, Security, Cleanliness, and Comfort
First of all, I was very disappointed that the accommodation did not provide a completely private and independent living space. I did not feel sufficiently comfortable or secure, particularly when it came to privacy and personal safety.
The door to my room had only a basic lock, which made me constantly concerned about the safety of my personal belongings. There was also no safe or lockable cabinet where I could securely store my valuables. As a result, I had to carry my important belongings with me every time I went outside. For the same reason, I did not feel comfortable requesting housekeeping services while I was away from the room.
Another major issue was the lack of proper sound insulation between the rooms. The Netflix account was shared with the neighboring room, which meant that I was affected by what was being watched next door. In particular, the screaming sounds from horror movies played late at night were extremely disturbing. On several occasions, these sounds genuinely frightened me and made me feel uncomfortable. I could not enjoy the peace, quiet, and privacy I expected during my stay.
Furthermore, after traveling approximately 10 hours by plane from another country, I would have expected at least a 1.5-liter bottle of drinking water to be provided in the refrigerator upon arrival. This is a very basic but thoughtful gesture, especially for guests arriving after a long international journey. Unfortunately, even this small detail had been overlooked.
The overall maintenance and cleanliness of the residence were also below my expectations. In particular, instead of proper floor mats, plastic sheets had been placed on the floors in the common areas, giving the building a neglected and poorly maintained appearance. In general, I found the shared areas insufficiently clean, organized, and well-maintained.
