Step inside and it’s like walking into your grandmother’s home, if she had impeccable taste and a soft spot for modern retro charm. Three bedrooms, big backyard, outdoor shower and plenty of quirky old-school charm. Walk across the park to the beach, wander into town, or settle in with a BBQ, fire pit, and a cold beverage. Relaxed, comfortable and a little nostalgic.

Ol’ Mumma’s is a character-filled 1970s beach house with plenty of original charm and several modern comforts thrown in.

Prime Old Torquay location: Directly opposite Taylor Park, a 3-minute walk to the beach and 5-10 minute stroll across the park (via the beautiful duck pond) to cafés and shops.

Three comfortable bedrooms: Plenty of room for families, couples or friends travelling together.
Retro beach-house character: Original details, vintage touches and the relaxed feel of a proper Surf Coast holiday house.

Big backyard: Plenty of space for kids, dogs, BBQs, outdoor dinners and lazy afternoons.

Outdoor shower: Rinse off sandy feet, boards and swimmers after the beach without bringing half of Torquay inside.

The living room is the heart of Ol’ Mumma’s. Comfortable, relaxed and full of character, it’s the kind of room where everyone naturally ends up after a day at the beach.

There’s a comfortable lounge, dining area, TV with Foxtel and fast WiFi. Throw open the doors, settle in and let the day slow down.

The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from morning coffee and toast before the surf to a proper family dinner or a big share-plate spread.

A comfortable king bed gives the main bedroom a little extra space and makes it a good retreat for couples.

A comfortable bedroom for flexibility, suitable for family or friends.

Bedroom 3 – 2 x King Single Beds
Another relaxed bedroom with King Single Trundle Beds with easy access to the bathroom and backyard.

Bathroom
A simple, comfortable bathroom with everything you need after a day at the beach.

Bed linen and bath towels are provided. Please BYO beach towels.

OUTDOOR LIVING

This is where Ol’ Mumma's really earns her beach-house stripes with a proper beach-house backyard.

The backyard is spacious, secure and set up for outdoor living, with ample seating, BBQ facilities, a firepit and plenty of room for kids and dogs to roam.

There’s also an outdoor shower for washing off after the beach, plus a large 2.5m clothesline for drying swimmers, towels and wetsuits.

Weather permitting, this is where you’ll probably spend most of your time.

Ol’ Mumma’s sits directly opposite Taylor Park in Old Torquay.

Walk across the park towards the beach, head into town for coffee or groceries, or take the short stroll down to the local cafés and restaurants.

You can leave the car at home for much of your stay and explore the best of old Torquay on foot.
