The kitchen table seats up to 6. Large kitchen island with 2 additional bar seats welcome more guests.

LIVING ROOM: The living room includes a sleeper couch with pull-out queen size bed, a 55” smart TV for movie nights, and additional seating for the entire group. We have extra pillows/blankets and games and books for everyone.

BEDROOMS: There are 2 bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 queen bed), complete with brand new beds and mattresses, work desk, closets and dressers for events and extended stays. Each bedroom also has blackout curtains, ceiling fans and AC/Heat to provide extra comfort.

BATHROOM & LAUNDRY: Large full bathroom with double sinks, ample storage, and a beautifully remodeled custom tub and shower combo for a spa-like experience. Stackable LG washer & dryer unit. Beach towels are available for your convenience.

OUTDOORS: Enjoy your morning coffee outdoors on our comfortable, period-piece porch. From the extra seating in the front courtyard, take in the nature in our well-maintained lush garden. Watch the kids play and dogs sunbathe in our fully fenced yard.

LOCATION: Walk 1-5 minutes to cafes, bars, restaurants, and the extensive nightlight options along Adams Avenue in the hearts of the Normal Heights and Kensington neighborhoods. The property lies within a 10 minute drive to Balboa Park / Zoo (3.6 mi), downtown / convention center (6-7 mi), the beach / Seaworld (8.5 mi), the airport (8.7 mi), and any other stops on your list. Guests will have one designated parking spot located in the driveway. Street parking is also available.

GROCERIES: Should you prefer to stay in and cook meals, there are quite a few grocery options just 1 block away at Vons. Larger stores like Target (2.9 mi), Costco (3.8 mi) nearby are also within 5 minutes’ drive.

NEIGHBORHOOD: Normal Heights is known to locals as “Abnormal Heights” for its quirkiness and charm. You will be walking distance to many of San Diego’s most sought-after establishments, so please remember for all the convenience it also is a lively urban neighborhood and there may be noise from time to time.

Entry is secured by a coded locking keypad (no keys required) at the front door. Please use only this entrance and the driveway fenced yard to access the property.

Guests will have one designated parking spot in the shared driveway. Street parking is also available in front of the property. Please be considerate to our neighbors when parking and do not block any driveways.

We are owner-operated and live nearby -- we are here to help if anything should arise during your stay!

There are 2 rental units available at our property so if you have a bigger group and are interested in reserving the other unit, please check out our other listing and feel free to contact us to check availability. Our other rental is a larger 2 bd / 1 ba that can sleep up to eight people.

The front fenced yard off of the front porch is reserved exclusively for this rental. There is a central courtyard out the back door of the home designated for the use of our other rental only – please do not disturb those guests or use the area. (From time to time you may see other guests and tenants walking to and from their home.)

We welcome well-behaved dogs (no more than two) for an additional pet fee of $50/night per dog. As a dog-friendly home, we ask that no dogs sleep on the furniture, couch, or beds. No excessive barking or chewing. We require you bring your own waste bags to properly pick up after your pets in the yard. Any pet waste left in the yard will result in additional cleaning fees. All dogs must remain on leash when outside the fenced yard. Failure to follow these rules or notify us of a furry family member will result in an immediate $500 pet cleaning fee.

This is a non-smoking property - including all indoor and outdoor areas. Evidence of smoking will result in an immediate $500 cleaning fee.

This is in a residential area so no loud noises after 10pm out of respect for the other guests & neighbors (including long-term tenant living on the same property). We are not a party house and only guests stated during the booking process are allowed. Failure to follow these rules will result in your being asked to leave immediately without a refund.

There is 1 Ring doorbell camera on each home and 2 Ring cameras/motion lights overlooking the driveway and back alley. Both record video and audio. All devices are on the exterior of the property. We also have a noise monitor on-site.
