About this house rental
What makes Stonycreek Hideaway different is that the property itself is part of the getaway. Spend the morning on the deck with coffee, challenge each other to an outdoor game, or follow our custom-built, lighted trail through the property down to Stonycreek.
At the water, you’ll find a creekside pavilion with electricity and lighting, creating a second outdoor living space away from the house. Bring lunch down, play games under the pavilion, fish in the creek, or let the kids splash and explore the water. As evening arrives, build a fire beside the creek, turn on the pavilion lights, and settle in for a night of conversation with the sound of the water in the background while making s’mores over the fire. It’s the kind of space where you may find yourselves spending most of the day.
Inside, the completely refreshed home is designed to be just as comfortable as the outdoor spaces. Three bedrooms plus a pull-out sofa give families and groups flexible sleeping options, with a king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and twin bunk beds in the third bedroom.
The home also features two updated bathrooms, giving larger groups much more room to get ready without crowding into a single space. Fresh finishes and thoughtful updates throughout help the house feel clean, comfortable, and easy to settle into.
Gather for meals, relax after a day outside, or make it a game night with our collection of indoor games. If you don’t want a getaway to interrupt your routine, take advantage of the treadmill, exercise bike, and sauna in the basement before heading back outside to relax.
There’s plenty to do beyond the property, too. About three miles away, Quemahoning Family Recreation Area provides public access to the 900-acre Quemahoning Reservoir, a local recreation hub for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, beach days, and more.
Outdoor enthusiasts can explore even farther throughout the Laurel Highlands. Fish or paddle the Stonycreek watershed, hike a section of the 70-mile Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, bike portions of the Great Allegheny Passage, explore area state parks, or plan a day trip to Ohiopyle for waterfalls, hiking, biking, and whitewater adventure. The region is also home to Flight 93 National Memorial and plenty of scenic drives and small-town exploring.
Stonycreek Hideaway gives you something increasingly hard to find: space to play, space to relax, and space to simply enjoy being together while making the kind of memories that don’t require a packed itinerary.
Stonycreek Hideaway’s water is supplied by a natural spring, adding to the peaceful, rustic character of this creekside retreat. To help us care for our newly remodeled home, we ask guests to remove outdoor shoes while inside. Pets are not permitted.
