About this cabin rental
Bear’s Lair is a thoughtfully designed two-bedroom, one-bath cabin surrounded by trees and open space. It feels private and peaceful, yet downtown McCall is only minutes away.
The property borders the Bear Basin trail system, providing immediate access to hiking, mountain biking, trail running, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. You can begin your adventure right from the property without driving to a trailhead.
The primary bedroom features a king bed and dedicated workspace. The second bedroom has a queen-over-queen bunk bed with a twin trundle. The living room features a queen size sleep sofa. The cabin comfortably accommodates up to six guests and includes a cozy living area, smart TV, well-equipped kitchen and high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi.
Outside, guests have private use of the hot tub, electric sauna and fire pit. Our dedicated Gear Garage provides secure indoor storage for bikes, skis and other outdoor equipment. It also includes a smart bike, yoga mats, resistance bands and mobility equipment for workouts, stretching and recovery.
There is ample outdoor parking for vehicles and trailers. The Gear Garage is reserved for equipment, recreation and fitness use and is not available for vehicle parking.
Bear’s Lair is a compact cabin with one bathroom, so we limit occupancy to six guests for a comfortable stay.
The cabin is located in a quiet, wooded mountain setting. Snow and winter driving conditions are common, and an all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle is strongly recommended during winter. Follow local fire restrictions before using the outdoor fire pit.
Small gravel surrounds portions of the cabin and can scratch the floors, so we ask guests to remove their shoes inside.
The hot tub and sauna are available year-round. Please review the provided instructions and supervise children closely. Exterior security cameras monitor the driveway and entrance areas; there are no cameras inside the cabin or in private guest areas.
Because of the peaceful setting and nearby neighbors, parties and disruptive events are not permitted.
Supporting the trails we love:
We’ve partnered with the local nonprofit ski club by providing space for a small maintenance garage near the trailhead. Construction is expected through approximately September and may create intermittent daytime noise. The cabin and guest areas will remain private and fully available. This temporary project will help support the trails that make Bear’s Lair so special.
