Gatherwell is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom home on a private 5.68-acre hilltop in Yucca Valley, near Joshua Tree National Park. Vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, polished concrete floors and large windows frame views across the surrounding hills. A landscaped garden, a pool with an in-ground hot tub, a gas fire pit and a swing are outside, and a game room and gym are inside. Named for bringing loved ones together, it suits families and friends traveling together. Set all ten places at the table and keep the stories going.

-Outdoor Amenities-

The pool and in-ground hot tub take in the wide hilltop views from morning through sunset. Spend the afternoon swimming, settle into the hot tub as the desert air cools, or gather at the gas fire pit after dark. A swing offers another spot to look out over the landscape. The 5.68 acres give the outdoor spaces room and privacy, and a landscaped garden adds greenery close to the house.



-Living Area-

The living room is open and framed by views of the desert hills, with vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, polished concrete floors and broad windows. A separate game room with a pool table is ready for some friendly competition, and a gym has a Peloton and weights. The fireplaces in the living room and primary bedroom are decorative.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The kitchen has modern stainless steel appliances and a breakfast island bar for coffee, conversation or a casual bite. The dining room seats 10, so everyone can sit down together for dinner.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

The primary suite has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub and large shower. The second bedroom also has a king bed, an ensuite bathroom and a couch that offers additional sleeping space. The third bedroom has a queen bed and its own couch. With two ensuites and a third full bathroom, the layout works well for families or friends traveling together.



-Surrounding Area-

From this hilltop in Yucca Valley, you can explore Joshua Tree National Park's trails and rock formations, browse local shops and galleries, or head to Pioneertown for dinner and live music. Nearby Flamingo Heights and Landers offer dining and the Integratron's sound bath.

Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Please note that Gatherwell is in a remote location, and the final stretch to the home is on dirt roads, so please take it slow. The dirt roads are maintained, and a four-wheel drive car is not necessary, but please note that the dirt road conditions vary and may have bumps and ruts, particularly after rainstorms.



Other Things to Note:

-Fireplaces-

Please note that the fireplaces in the living room and the primary bedroom are decorative and non-operational. Please do not attempt to use them.



-Pool Heating Fee-

Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival, as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool.



Pool heating is available for an additional fee. Please message us for the current rate before requesting.



During the winter months, please be aware that colder outdoor temperatures may cause the pool to feel cooler than its maintained temperature of 85°F. We kindly ask that you ensure this temperature meets your comfort level before submitting a request, as refunds cannot be issued on this basis.



-Hot Tub Heating-

No fee to heat the hot tub! Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Wednesdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

There is a security camera mounted on top of the garage to monitor the number of people and cars on the property, so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. There are no security cameras in any private areas of the home or backyard.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
