The owner sent us clear information on how to get the apartment. He has been very reactive to fix a problem when it was needed.
The additional bed is actually a sofa.

I stayed at Teodoroiu nr. 5 for one night as the first stop on a journey through Romania to explore historical locations and stories connected with medieval Eastern Europe.
I found Craiova particularly charming in the cool evening after the heat of the day. The old town hall and its architecture were impressive, and the stories and atmosphere of the town gave me plenty to think about as I continued my journey.
The apartment itself had a rather unusual atmosphere. It was quite secluded and not especially well lit — perhaps the lamps were having a medieval moment themselves! 😊 With the softer lighting, it almost felt like being in a medieval room illuminated by candlelight. Given that I was travelling in search of historical atmosphere, I actually found this quite special.
It was a memorable first evening before continuing the next day towards another legendary place: Dracula's Castle.
Thank you to the host for a pleasant stay.
Maybe the apartment could be more bright, but then will lose the medieval room illuminated by candlelight charm.
