Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites-Hinton by IHG

Quiet area, clean modern building, lots of parking, warm pool with a water slide, spacious family suite, shower had AMAZING water pressure, free breakfast was perfect and had many options for all ages.

Hot tub was out of order. Family suites were in the basement absolutely no view. Would have loved if the mini fridge had a freezer portion. Shower was not accommodating for TALL people.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hinton with our three children. The room was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our family. The hotel was also a convenient base for visiting Jasper. Our children especially loved the swimming pool, which was one of the highlights of our stay. What impressed us most was the kindness and professionalism of the Front Office team. After checking out, we realized that we had accidentally left a bag containing some personal belongings in our room. The staff kept everything safe and responded patiently to our messages. Since we had already left Hinton and could not return to collect the items, the Front Office team provided clear instructions for arranging a courier pickup and kindly offered to find a suitable box and pack the items for us. Their willingness to help gave our family great peace of mind. We sincerely appreciate the care, patience, and assistance shown by the entire team. We would gladly recommend this comfortable and family-friendly hotel to Korean travellers and families visiting Hinton or Jasper.

Nothing significant. We were very satisfied with our stay and especially grateful for the staff’s assistance after check-out.

Friendly Staff. Big room and clean

It was as you would imagine from a chain hotel in a small town. The staff were helpful - we arrived at 9am and they let us have breakfast; then found us a room that early in the morning, so we didnt have to wait until 3pm; they called a taxi on our behalf as we didnt have a car and we did not want to call on an international number as it will cost money. The room was fairly clean, a bit dated decor but comfortable enough. Price was reasonable. Room had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, sink and a smart TV.

Location of hotel was towards the outskirts of Hinton with only really a petrol station, convenience store, and four not great restaurants nearby. I would say this hotel is perfect for guests who are driving through Alberta, either heading to Jasper or Edmonton and need a pit stop for the night, and not for anyone else. Our room (122), and any other room on the ground floor, is near the swimming pool making it quite warm and noisy as we could easily hear children shouting in the pool between 7pm-9pm. The Air Con system was very noisy, so we didnt want it on overnight but because there was no other cooling/heating system to sustain a temperature it got really hot.
