The unit is delightfully rustic, quiet and private. There is a functional kitchenette. The sound of rain on the cabin was wonderful and lulled us to sleep. The surrounding woods are beautiful although there are plenty of bugs. The porch was high up which seemed to provide bug protection.
The property was as expected. It has a lived-in feel. Overall, we have no complaints. There were even some restaurants close by - nothing too fancy but a good option for a night or two.

The chalet sleeps 8 people comfortably and is well equipped for a family vacation, including 2 kayaks. The managers are a delightful couple, always make us feel welcome and respond to any needs we manifest during our stays.
Really appreciate not having to book for a complete week.

Each cabin had plenty of forested space around it, giving a feeling of tranquility and natural surroundings. There are abundant walking/hiking trails directly accessible from the property.
The stairs/ladder to the mezzanine sleeping area were a bit of a hazard for children. Totally fine for adults, but requires a bit of extra attention if you're traveling with children.
