The location was good, right next to Highway 19A and about a 5-minute drive from the town centre. 50th Parallel was also nearby. The building itself had a lot of character.
Our room was spacious, more like a studio. It had a living room with a sofa and balcony, a separate bedroom with a comfortable bed, a bathroom with a tub, and a kitchen with a cooker, microwave, kettle, and fridge. The room and bathroom were clean, and there was lots of storage space.
There was indoor parking (spaces were limited, though), with additional parking available outside. The hotel elevator also provided access to the garage.
Laundry facilities were available, although only during specific times. The staff were helpful, polite, and friendly.
Breakfast was included, but we did not try it as we always left for our trips before breakfast was served, so we cannot comment on it.
The place was a bit rundown and the decor was dated.
The kitchen was missing some basic items such as plates, cutlery, and glasses. While the room itself was clean, the kitchen cupboard was dirty inside.
The room was a bit noisy. There was a connecting door to the adjacent room, and we could hear every single word. We could also hear snoring from another floor.
When we arrived, nobody was at the reception desk, and there was no phone number to call. A card was also needed to enter the reception area, which was problematic when nobody was there to answer the buzzer.

Electric switch cover plates taped in place, broken lamp shades, I got a spray cleaner and rag from the supply room in the basement because the bathroom cabinet was sooooo dirty, YUCK! View from the deck was gross. (See picture) the deck/ patio even had a broken screen propped on it. It would be relaxing to sit on the deck and have a well maintained view. Even old torn jeans/ litter below the deck. Stairwell had dirt and cereal pieces the two days we were there. Obviously not vacuumed on WEEKS or MONTHS. Old furnishings that are all scratched. Time to thin out the crowded old furnishings.
