8 / 10Excellent·Nov 2026

The location was perfect, right on the lock and walking distance to downtown. We watched 3 ships go through. Also caught an beautiful sunrise, since all thw rooms face east. The room was exceptionally clean.

It would have been nice to access Netflix. The decor could use a little update.

9 / 10Outstanding·Oct 2026

Location was the best part! We had so much fun watching the ships go through the lock and learned so much about the Welland canal. Large rooms.

Building is gradually being updated, but some features outdated. We don’t care about that, we love vintage but some people might not.

Location cleanliness staff

Still very basic accommodation but the location overrides the basics

6 / 10Average·Aug 2026

Very clean, including the bathroom. The bathrooms have been modernized. Spartan but clean.

The exterior, the hallways and the public areas are run-down and ugly. The carpeting is ugly. The room furniture, doors and windows are battered. Windows did not function.
