As described

A very clean hotel in a historic building. The location is downtown Ganges, close to the sea, shops and restaurants. They have a coffee station in the hallway. There is a restaurant on site. They didn't have vegan breakfast options on the menu, but they offered to make us a tofu scramble. It was very good!

The locks in the shared bathrooms were a bit sticky, I almost walked in on someone.

We love visiting Salt Spring Island and this stay made it that much more special!

The breakfast was delicious especially for the portion size. We enjoyed our stay at the Inn because it was comfortable and close to shopping and restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly and we will definitely be coming back!

We would stay again but maybe in a different room due to the mattress.

History and the old pictures. The remodel job was amazing.

Our bed in room one made my back super stiff. The pillows were some of the best we’ve ever had though.

AC in the rooms would be an added feature for sure in the summer months , was much too hot last summer …. this April no issue.

I enjoyed my stay at the inn and would return.

The central location, the staff, the cleanliness, the maintenance, and the restaurant were all great! Despite the restaurant below, the room was quiet. The coffee maker was a nice feature.

The small room was hot and the double bed lumpy, making sleep elusive.

Nice hotel and located near shops ect. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic! Wish the restaurant was open for breakfast but we went to the tree house cafe which was very good. Overall a great experience!

A Pleasant Place to Stay, although not Ideal.

The staff was very helpful--dealing with our requests promptly and to our satisfaction and more. The restaurant served us excellent meals-- a supper, the first evening, and a brunch, on the day we left. We loved the " boutique " style decor of the place. The location was central to all we wanted to see, in the town, and region of Saltspring Island.

A serious lack is the restaurant not opening for service until 9:00 AM--in this, a tourist accommodation, for tourists ! This forced us, as like most visitors I'm sure, to look for our breakfasts, elsewhere. This was not too great a hardship, given that other restaurants were within easy walking distance. However, we found this disappointing, when for example, the weather was miserable the first morning we had to leave the inn. looking for breakfast. Also, although central to the sites of Ganges ( it locale), its position on the main street in town left a little to be desired regarding traffic noise overnight.

Kind caring service in a spotless modest Inn located in the best location in Ganges!

The property is so well maintained. The bathrooms are spotless! The tiling and fixtures are styled from an earlier time but are brand new and perfectly installed. I travelled with my sister, we each had a small room with our own sink and used the shared shower and bathroom. So sensible! So European. The staff are a fun mix of locals who serve with charm and kind respect. Our brother lives in Salt Spring so we stay regularly at the Inn. And always enjoy our time right in the heart of Ganges🌞

Lovely stay at character property.

Exceptionally clean facilities, charming older building that is very well maintained and charming. It has a good restaurant right downstairs, and it’s location makes it easy to walk around town, or the seaplanes if you’re arriving via air.

Not a fault of the property but there is significant road noise in the rooms due to that great, in town location. Just something to be aware of.

Fantastic!

This was a wonderful little treasure! We spent 4 nights there in a cute, little, bright room. Everthing was very tidy and clean. It was no problem at all sharing a bathroom or shower room, which were very clean! It was great to be located so central in Ganges. There's lots of shops, cafés and restaurants downtown. The bus stop was directly across the street. The in-house restaurant was excellent! The Inn is beautiful inside and out. We truly enjoyed our stay.

It would have been great to have a little fridge in the room.

We loved Salt Spring and hope to be back.

We normally wouldn't book something without an ensuite but it didn't feel like we were sharing with a lot of people as everything was so clean. It was good there was a sink in the room.

The rooms are small which is fine but just good to expect that and you have to share the bathroom - go out into the hall to get there. Again, you know that when you book.

We were very pleasantly surprised, and would stay there again.

Great location right in Ganges. The rooms are clean but not very large. The beds are comfy. The Inn is clean. Staff are pleasant. The restaurant downstairs is a real bonus, and the food is very good. Overall it's good value for your money. Just don't expect anything luxurious.

The Inn is not suitable for mobility impaired persons as you have to walk up one flight of fairly steep stairs to access the floor with hotel rooms.

The location! We could walk to a lot of places.

Nice location. Room was a little small but very neat.

Did not have breakfast. Was it included?

No soap in the far shower. I did not notice until I was in there. Neighbours were quite noisy.

Would like to come back again.

Location is perfect, just steps away from the Ganges harbor. Parking at street overnight free too. Superb!

I would recommend Salt Spring Inn to friends and family. I know I’ll be back. 😊

The location couldn’t be better for all I got. Access to shops was within walking distance and the service in the hotel & restaurant was pleasant and responsive. Food was yummy, too!
