Great stay in a quaint motel at the doorstep of Algonquin Park.

The person at the front desk was very welcoming, the rooms were quaint and clean.

No dead bolt or chain lock on the door.

it was an enjoyable stay. checkin was so simple without all the fuss at chain hotels. we love to come at a time of year

One of a kind host!

It was probably the busiest weekend of the year, and yet we felt we had our space, peace, and quiet at the Dwight Village Motel. Brad is an outstanding host: it started with a warm welcome at the check-in and continued with the recommendations of alternative hikes (given that all the park passes for the weekend were out!), tips on where to eat and how to make the best of our time in the area. Most importantly, Brad went out of his way to send me back the Kindle I happened to leave in the room after the check-out. A true Thanksgiving gift from a wonderful host! We also loved the motel's location - easy access to both the popular Algonquin hikes and less crowded paths in the vicinity, and the comfort of the room - it was clean and had everything we needed. THANK you doesn't cover it! We'll be back.

Our stay was perfect in every way. Meeting the builders again, we know exactly where we will stay.

The location was perfect. We have a cottage at South Portage and we are in the midst of rebuilding it. We had to meet with the builder and needed a place to stay. As we have had the cottage in our family since 1950, we have driven past The Dwight Motel a gazillion times and have admired the property as have all our friends. So when we needed a place to stay, there was no question as to where that place would be. Trust me when I say, everything was perfect!!

As far as we were concerned, nothing could have been better!

Great place to stay and we will be back again for sure.

The front desk personnel was attentive and informative about the area. The rooms where very clean and the whole Algonquin Park theme of the room was so nice.

Great stay, we'll return!

This place is excellent. Exceptionally clean rooms, friendly front desk service. We made use of the fire pit, and the horse shoes available.

I would readily return to this motel. In fact, I will be in about 6 weeks.

There are no food options at this motel but restaurants are close by. The owner, "Brad" was personable, friendly, courteous, professional & willing to assist.

As always the accommodations are great and the owner/operator very accommodating!

The property is very clean. I like that BBQ’s are available for guests to use, along with horse shoe pits and a fully stocked wood pile for the fire pit.

We enjoyed our stay . It's very clean and cozy . The location is very convenient close to many atractions in the Muskoka/ Algonquin park. They provide barbecues and a firepit it makes it even more valued . We highly recomend !
