Location and the room was very quiet

A really lovely hotel with fantastic architecture and a beautifully considered design throughout. It has a cool, contemporary feel while still being incredibly comfortable and welcoming. The staff were lovely, our room was very comfortable, and our five-year-old particularly loved having his own bunk bed. The location is excellent, within easy reach of Baie-Saint-Paul, and having the train running right past the hotel was an unexpected highlight for our son! We also loved the animals around the grounds and the hotel’s genuine farm-to-table philosophy. Herbs and vegetables grown on site, a real emphasis on local produce and sustainability, and absolutely delicious food in the restaurant. It’s lovely to stay somewhere with such a strong connection to its surroundings. The outdoor fire in the evenings was another gorgeous touch. The whole place has a really relaxed, thoughtfully designed atmosphere, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’d definitely return.

Our biggest disappointment was discovering that our five-year-old wasn’t allowed to use any of the swimming facilities. We’d booked as a family and hadn’t been made aware that the outdoor heated pool and spa facilities had a minimum age of 16. Our room actually overlooked the pools and hot tubs, so our son spent much of the stay looking longingly at them without being able to go in! It would have been helpful to have this made much clearer when booking, particularly for families with young children. There was also no room service, which was surprising for a hotel of this standard. You could order food from the restaurant, but had to go downstairs, wait and collect it yourself. The rooms, while beautifully designed, were a little short on practical storage. There was nowhere suitable to put our suitcases, so we ended up leaving them open on the floor. The bathroom sink was also awkward to use because the shelf above it had been positioned too low. These were relatively minor issues apart from the swimming situation, but a few practical details could definitely be improved. Overall, we still really enjoyed our stay.

We loved the room and being able to watch the animals from our window. The room was really, really cool and much bigger than I expected. We also ran along the trail to the river and enjoyed the view.

Breakfast closed earlier than we thought - the website had the incorrect closing time and the front desk gave us the same schedule. Also, the room we were in had high windows with a remote that didn't work for the automatic blinds. I had my sleep mask so the light didn't bother me much, but it would be nice if the blinds work.

Very lovely property and setting

Bedroom was not easy to find. As we arelygging our bags around. Instructions were very poor. The bef was on a platform 1 foot above ground. So when i woke up in the middle of the night I stumbled as I missed the step. There is no a la carte breakfast. The plunge pools area is 60$ per person!!! It was completely empty.
