Poor

Quiet surroundings.

It was a very old & dated place with extremely old fittings and amenities. Carpets were stained and supplies were limited. Had to ask for everything.

Very good

Cozy and comfortable room situated across from nice lite hiking trails that my dog and I enjoyed. I also enjoyed the Japanese/Korean restaurant next door. Loved the fried chicken.

No kitchenette (upgrade next time) and a desk to do office work would have been nice but overall very nice room / motel. I enjoyed my stay at the Pioneer.

Just been there for an overnight stay from the ferry.

We just stayed there for a few hours after a late arrival from the ferry. The room was clean. For a longer stay definately to small for three people.

I was surprised that it was expensive as it was we’re having so little to offer.

We left too early to access the breakfast so do not know what it was like. It appeared that many people were also leaving very early so perhaps the breakfast could’ve been offered in another form. Muffins to take and put in your own fridge if you were leaving before the office opened

The place is very old and has not been updated. And very remote so there was nothing around there. I did not realize that when I booked

It was adequate, staff and owners were friendly and accommodating it was just a bit dated, but clean

The owners were very friendly and accommodating of us arriving extremely late after our ferry didn't get in until 1:30am. The check in process was smooth and we got into our room promptly. The bathroom was clean and there was a microwave that we didn't use but would be very helpful.

The property and rooms could certainly use an update with perhaps more modern bedding, new carpets and decor/paint. It is very very dated albeit clean. The TV also was not working though that could have been Telus itself, or the property it was hard to tell.

Selected for proximity to ferry. The front desk staff were aware of midnight arrival and accommodated ferry delay for half a dozen clients who arrived at 1:00 am.

Particulate debree on carpet that tracks onto lovely clean sheets.

Will never stay there again...too dirty

I liked how quiet it was with only one other guest

I didnt like the morophine pills I found in my dirty room,spit on the walls and the dirty table.And also poor communication with the staff.the hot water in room 23 is dangerously hot.had to run the cold water in the tub for a few mins to clear all the hot water from taps...scalding hot water.The parking lot was sheer ice,I witnessed another guest slip and hurt her hand.The owners only shovelled by their front door...

Pioneer living Costs more than one may realize!!

River walk close by.

Poor communication connections,poor laundry facilitys, cold water, bugs and insects, spiders infested, room not clean or fresh,had to ask for towels, coffee, and toilette paper.

very run down and when we went up to room you went up stairs that were not safe and our room was ole and pink bathroom- the uneven flooring in room and outside

Accommodation is limited on the North Island.

Owners were very accommodating with changes to dates along with keeping our bikes safe
