Schooner Motel

Walking distance to most of Tofino.

The people upstairs were like elephants, and the next door people thought taking showers at 11:30pm was a good idea (the pipes were loud) Not really the hotels fault, mostly just inconsiderate people.

Very close to the water and grocery store. Able to have fresh air from window. It had a tub to take baths. The beds were comfortable. Good coffee shop in town.

No microwave to heat up leftovers.

Good location , parking and Staff.

Value for money

The location was amazing and motel has an old school had a Hansel and Gretel fairy tale look to it. Grocery store is across the street. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Easy access to a small beach area. Appears to be family owned. Rooms were clean and stocked with supplies.

The staff wasn't approachable or welcoming. When we got there, a man had his back to us, but often turned to look at us. About 10 minutes later, with the guy still faced from us, a woman came down and was able to check us in. Our daughters room was tucked in the back and appeared to be in good condition, unfortunately, the balcony or patio furniture were dirty and didn't appear safe to go out on. Our room was more outdated and we had to wear shoes in the room, due to the flooring. Nails were sticking out, catching on our socks and the flooring was coming up. There was a carpet runner at the end of the bed. There was no flooring under the carpet, which made it bend and move when we walked on. The motel is in need of a renovation.
