Rodeway Inn Kissimmee - Orlando Maingate West - Free Theme Park Shuttle

Location was great, close to theme parks, food outlets and shops! Many gift shops nearby and close to Walmart and CVS too Free shuttle to and from the theme parks was a great addition too, made our Disney days so much easier. Beds were super comfy! Staff were great and super friendly! Great value for money! Will definitely stay again !!!

Overall, I had a very good stay until the night before my departure, after 14 nights at the property. The breakfast, while fairly limited in variety — coffee, creamer, waffles, sliced bread, butter, jam, mini brownies, oatmeal, boxed juice, and occasionally bananas — was perfectly reasonable in my opinion, especially considering the nightly rate I paid. Location is great. Close to Walmart, restaurants, drugstores, and Rodeway Inn offers free shuttle to Disney parks.

Unfortunately, my experience changed significantly on my last night. While I was taking a shower, someone unlocked and opened the door to my room. Fortunately, I had engaged the secondary security latch from inside the room, which prevented the person from actually entering. When I got out of the shower, I found my door partially open. I immediately went to the front desk to report what had happened. No immediate action was taken. The staff member told me that perhaps a housekeeper had lost a master key and that he would deactivate all of the master keys. The following morning, I reported the incident again at the front desk. I was told that they would review the security camera footage to determine what had happened. However, I received no explanation or update before checking out, and no one contacted me afterward to provide any clarification about the incident. It is unfortunate because, until this happened, I had been very satisfied with my stay. However, having my room door unexpectedly unlocked and opened while I was inside was extremely concerning from a privacy and security standpoint. What disappointed me even more was the lack of follow-up after I reported such a serious incident twice. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that guests use the secondary security latch whenever they are inside their room.
