Great stay
the breakfast was an experience, with a vibrant atmosphere and countless dad jokes :) comfortable room, big bed, enough storage space, clean, good location - everything was great
if you need peace and quiet before your first coffee in the morning maybe have it in your room and then come for breakfast :)

Cozy Spot with Great Owners
The breakfasts were fantastic, something new each day, freshly cooked and prepared. They had an assortment of teas, cereals, and coffee as well, so you were never shy of a good breakfast. Owners were fantastic, personable and incredibly accommodating. I was straight up an hour late for breakfast at one point because I overslept and the owners were very understanding and even saved me some. They also have a smart home security system, which can be either a pro or a con depending on your opinion on the technology, but it does add a layer of privacy and convenience. The decor was unique and homey, and everything was incredibly comfortable. For transport, there was a metro station on the orange line about a 5 minute walk away, and from there you could access the whole city. If you're ever in the region for NorthSec like I was, this is an excellent cost-effective and comfy spot!
The shared bathroom was definitely a bit of a concern, but it was limited to two rooms so not as bad. Not a dislike, but if you're ever coming back late the manor is very prone to being loud just due to its age (creaky stairs in particular), so try to avoid late night returns if you care about not waking others up.

Great location, a block and a half away from the subway, easy to walk to. Close to amenities.
Breakfasts changed daily, plenty of food and drink available. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and although we had a shared bathroom, it was kept clean and tidy. The hosts were knowledgeable about Montreal and good company. We liked it's location, close to restaurants and shopping areas. There are bikes for rent close by.
There was really nothing to report here. We knew the place was old but we like the character and charm of old world places. The hosts keep it well maintained and it has all the creature comforts you could wish for. There was access to a communal guest fridge, we loved the woodwork and sturdiness of the building, so, nothing bad to report.
