I have many nice things to say about this lovely hotel! First of all the location is excellent! I love the Upper West and it’s two blocks away from 79 subway station and the crosstown bus. You have a CVS across the street and Serafina restaurant inside the hotel as well as a place to hace breakfast. The lobby is vibrant with a beautiful living room and a coffeehouse.
The staff is super nice and helpful. You don’t get charged for getting your packages and they take them to your room.
The rooms are comfortable, spacious, not luxurious but very nice. They get you a mini fridge upon request.
I will be back next month to New York and will stay at the Arthouse again! Loved the hotel!

I will first write down the good aspects of the hotel, and then the things we liked less:
For first-time visitors to New York, the area where the hotel is located is generally within walking distance of places like Times Square, Broadway, etc. It is close to the subway, and there are plenty of markets, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The hotel's breakfast isn't just American-style; they also have the hot breakfast that Europeans are accustomed to. It was sufficient for us. Their coffee is delicious. You always have the ability to make coffee in the rooms. On the floors, there are water and ice dispensers, as well as bags where you can always grab coffee and cups. We really loved this. The gym is quite nice. Compared to other hotels, there are no long lines for the elevators; you wait 2-3 minutes at most. The rooms have an iron and an ironing board. The air conditioning cools well.
The rooms are very small; a family of 4 barely fits. There is no such thing as a view. You just see the walls of the opposite buildings from everywhere. The closets are inadequate. The air conditioning makes so much noise that we turned it off most of the time. The walls are very thin and let a lot of noise through. Unfortunately, every movement of the elevator can be heard from the room. The breakfast hall is usually crowded and there is a line. You constantly need to be on alert to find a table. As something that will surprise guests coming from Europe, the plates and cups are made of paper, not porcelain. The staff consists of young guys, and unfortunately, they make young girls uncomfortable with their staring. I had to warn one of them.

The lobby was very nicely decordated and designed. The bed was quite comftorable. I'd say the view of from our room was not bad at all. The check-in was seamless.
The shower door did not align and therefore would not close properly. The room's decore and amenaties were quite barebones. The water presssure in the shower was pretty awful.
