Hotel de l'Horizon

The property was very clean and scenic. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was alright, there were had boiled eggs, viennoiseries, sliced bread, yogurt, cereal and fruits.

We went end of July and the pool’s water was very very cold, it’s also gets quite deep fast, so with kids it’s not ideal. There is a washer and dryer, but it only takes pieces of $1 and $0.25 (which was annoying), but the price for a load was very reasonable ($3.75 for a load to wash, $4.50 for dryer)

Everything was perfect! Enjoyed the pool, sauna, Finnish tub each night. Cabin was clean and secluded which we enjoyed! Bear mount Sutton and near shops and restaurants in town. IGA about 20 min away for the necessities! Grill outside! We stopped at the butcher and cooked dinners each night! Lovely stay! We will be back!

Everything was so clean and beautiful. Loved the wood paneling, the bunk bed nook for our kids, everything was so light and spacious. The games by the fire place in the common area were a big hit with our crew and it was a nice place to meet other guests too.

Excellent location close to Mt. Sutton ski hill and close to a quaint town. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The availability of a simple European breakfast is great especially for fueling outdoor fun. The Finnish sauna, hot tub and pool are nice. The restaurant has great food especially the burgers. Excellent wine offerings.

The facility is family friendly but it’s very unfortunate that the sauna, pool and hot tub don’t have adult hours. They close at eight o’clock in the evening so until they close they remain rowdy. It would be great if adults only could access and enjoy these aforementioned facilities between eight and ten o’clock. Sitting in a hot tub with small and rowdy children and parents or who fail to maintain a respectful environment is unpleasant. The sauna door was often opened and closed by these unruly children is quite irksome. Even our ten year old child was annoyed.
