The hotel stay was disappointing due to excessive noise from the busy street, poor room cleanliness, inadequate breakfas

Nothing

Since the motel is located directly on a busy STREET, it's incredibly noisy in the rooms. Additionally, you can hear everything from the other rooms. Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned upon arrival (dirty toilet, dust, and sand on the floor). The breakfast included in the price can hardly be called breakfast. Moreover, we were charged $50 for our dog, even though this wasn't indicated at the time of booking.

Remodeled room, nice art, pretty clean, nice view of creek side. Good value

The location was nice, but we were uncomfortable with the lack of cleanliness.

The location is central to things we wanted to do and the setting with a nice yard by water was pleasant.

The floor at the vanity was filthy. The carpet had dog hair on it since the facility is "pet-friendly" and the cleaning is inadequate. The mattress was uncomfortably lacking in support.

Gem of the city

Charlene was a grandmother of a few children and seemed to understand what children meant in all this experience. She was super friendly and just had a great smile on her and tried to turn things back right for the poor customer service on phone with other employees that I had. The property was very scenic, clean, brand new renovated rooms, smelled great walking through the door.

RM 118 TV had problems with Internet connection. Employees other than Charlene rude on phone and hung up quick not letting you finish talking or asking the question if your booking was in. Coffee tasted like dawn soap. But breakfast was good just not much selection. Some lights in our room didn't turn on.

Very good choice close to Charleston.

Room size. Bed size. Plenty of work space. Large desk. Clean room and facility,

The bath tub faucet was liking, It is an old facility that has been renovated. However, the plumbing was not up to date *at least in my room) I informed the staff and they said they would take care of it.

Location

Under construction, mattress and trash laying out in front of hotel. Tub had a hole in it and black stuff. Water out and couldn’t use facilities. Should not be listed

Great location and nice, new and clean rooms; property undergoing a renovation (as of August)

The room was apparently JUST remodeled, so it was spotless and very nice. The hotel is under a major renovation with the workers staying there. It wasn't a problem, but it may limit the number of available rooms until the renovation is completed. The pool area has an adjacent patio where it is nice to sit and enjoy the early morning beside the marsh as the tide goes in or out.

There was a staircase to the second level at each end of the property, but not in the middle. My room was in the middle of the second level, so it was a pretty long walk with luggage and such. Also, the pier out to the marsh creek was closed as I assume it is also being upgraded. Next time, I will ask for a first-floor room if it's available.

A peaceful place with a good price

The location is just great, very quiet, very close to the running trail. I saw 3 receptionists and they all were friendly, smiley and provided high quality service. All stuff in the room is not new, but I wasn't expected it to be perfect for this price. Towels and bed were clean.

The lights outside the room were super bright all night, so the room were light and there is nothing inside the room to cover the window (no curtains, only wooden shades on the window).

The location was close to where we needed to go for our cruise.

It was very dirty and fixtures inside were either broken or missing . Bathroom had hiar and it was dirty and the room smelled of smoke and mildew .

Basic/Minimal amenities. Noise from nearby traffic = annoying. Continental Breakfast was low quality

Good location to reach downtown Charleston (just 15-20 minutes away). Reasonably clean room, but it needs painting, new carpet, electrical re-wiring, and more storage for clothing.

The room was smaller than expected. The room did not include a chair or sofa for sitting. Light bulbs had to be manually screwed-in in order to work. There was just one electrical receptacle. Street noise (passing cars & trucks) was LOUD! Breakfast did not include butter, salt & pepper, and/or a variety of juices (only orange juice).

A perfectly fine place to stay if you're not too picky and are happy with simple and cozy.

The room was clean. The beds were soft. We felt safe and comfortable. It's close to downtown. Best of all the staff were all lovely people, kind and helpful.

While clean and adequate, the rooms are honestly quite shabby and rundown. We had trouble with the shower and toilet, but the staff were quick to help us.

Disappointing

The floors were sticky and the furniture was as well. The lamps did not work well to light the room, or line up to an outlet to be plugged in. The bed was clean and comfortable. But we would have preferred more deep cleaning measures.

Wish we had stayed somewhere else.

Location.

Room was 85% renovated. Would not assist with clogged toilet. Bedding was old and terribly uncomfortable. Taking a too long to get “security deposit” refunded. Light bulbs missing. Cigarette burns on tub. Holes in wall. Refer to photos.

I was totally disappointed and wouldn’t stay there again.

Bed was nice, Tile in shower was nice, floors were a nice lament which were a lot better than carpet

Staff was very unfriendly, an older motel, breakfast was really needing improvement and rooms were HOT. Honestly, I would have never spent the night there if they hadn’t already charged my card 2 days before.
