Extremely disappointed and unacceptable experience.

We booked and paid the reservation, however we did not get a chance to step in the property when we arrived.

Extremely disappointied and unacceptable experience. We booked this property in May through Booking.com for July 31, 2026, for 8 adults and 2 young children, aged 2 and 3. When we arrived at 11 p.m., another family was already staying in the property. We later learned that the other group's reservation was actually for July 31, 2027, but the property manager mistakenly allowed them to check in one year early. The manager then tried to ask that family to leave close to midnight so we could move in, which they absolutely refused. What made the situation worse was that, our confirmed Booking.com reservation was then cancelled without our consent. Booking.com told us it was cancelled by the property manager, while the property manager denied it. The property manager provided no alternative accommodation and simply told us to find somewhere else ourselves. As a result, 8 adults and 2 very young children were left outside without a place to stay in Ottawa til 1am because of the property manager’s mistake. Mistakes can happen, but this situation was handled extremely poorly. There was no proper solution, no relocation assistance, and no accountability. We were left stressed, exhausted, and scrambling for accommodation late at night with two small children. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property.

The location was ok. Enough beds to accommodate us all.

The property is in some serious need of renovations. Tiles are breaking, flors were super squeaky, toilets leaking, dinning table super wobbly etc. It was not worth the money we paid for it. Not enough garbage bags were left and when asked for more whoever dropped them off just walked into the house with us in it. Slow communication overall.
