All of the staffs we met were very friendly, especially those at the breakfast cafe, and kind to my children. Breakfast was good, nice variety and warm.

Shuttle bus
There were many things I disliked. Room was dirty and had an old smell. Sheets looked wrinkled and dirty, when I lifted a pillow there were hairs on the sheets. I called front desk and they just said they were going to send someone to change our sheets, I asked if there was a different room we could move to because there was also people smoking pot outside and I was with my toddler, the smell was strong. They said all rooms were booked and unable to accommodate us. I waited over an hour and housekeeping still had not come to change our sheets. Went to talk to front desk he was not helpful, manager couldn’t do anything to help us. Waited another 30 minutes no housekeeping, called again, we waited at least 2+ hours mind you this was around 9pm. AC unit was super loud, shower had mold, old dirty carpets and floor, tv kept freezing. Disappointed even manager couldn’t help us. Valet service was rude, lady scratched my brand new car and the guy when we arrived had no customer service skills. For the amount of money we paid they did not meet our expectations and will never stay here again.

Rooms nicely modernized, the food quality was above average.
We received a room facing the elevator bank. Unless can come up with a sound proof door, these rooms shouldn’t exist or should come discounted. We heard people coming and going at all hours and my sleep was terrible because of it. Hard to justify the cost when it’s impossible to sleep.

Walking distance to Universal Studios and they also offered shuttle bus service to the park also. Was about less than 15 minute walk. Staff was friendly.
Room was cramped. Even for 1 adult it was still too cramped. Room was small and dark. Lighting was not bright. Too much furniture for a small room. Elevator had a wierd smell each day.

Elevators take a long time, room walls seem thin. I could hear noise from both rooms around me. We had a connecting room and could hear complete conversations.

30.00 for a couple eggs and sausage from the buffet was very expensive and the food was not even very good. absolutely gouging the people. Do not eat breakfast there. most hotels provide free continental breakfasts WTF.

Very close to Universal Hollywood Park. There is a free shuttle but the walk is pretty close as well.
The bed is super comfortable and the room in general is very nice.
The breakfast is very good and the staff in the restaurant is stellar.
The coffee provided in the room is always good and I really love the mini fridge.
I feel the rooms are getting a little run down and for the cost of the rooms, they should take care of certain cosmetic issues (ex. Lifted and/or damaged carpet in the entry way) also our room was a little strange. They put a mini loveseat where the desk was and moved around the end tables. The left side of the bed ended up with no end table. That was terrible for me because that was my side.
The remotes in the rooms need to be changed they are not user friendly and always make me frustrated.

Shuttle to universal

We couldn't ask for a better location. It was within walking distance from Universal Studios. If you didn't want to walk, they offered a free shuttle. All the staff I came in contact with were both helpful and professional. I did need to ask for extra towels as they only provided 3 when we were a party of 4 and extra toiletries, but they promptly responded to this request. Room service was quick, and food arrived hot.
I made my reservations 6 months in advance. When I arrived, I was given a room that had a very awkward layout that didn't match the picture on the website. There was a pull-out couch directly at the bottom of the main bed, which made for a tight squeeze. (Website showed it on the side) The pull-out bed was for the kids as they didn't offer a room with 2 double beds when booking. It was less than comfortable, and there wasn't adequate bedding provided. I dont feel I should have had to request such items when my booking clearly indicates the amount of guest and the need. The main bed said it was a king, but I believe it was a queen. The room felt and looked dingy. The walls looked like partitions and were very thin. The carpet was stained. The curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned or changed in years as they were dirty, and the hooks were completely rusted out. There was a refrigerator, but no microwave in the room. The lighting was ok. However, I think they purposely had deemer lights to hide the appearance of the room. The bathroom looked clean, but on closer inspection, it was clearly not sanitized. There looked to be what appeared to be water stains on the bathroom floor as well as hair. The walls were dirty, and there was no garbage bag provided in the bathroom. Towels also had stains on them. There was also no designated spot for a change of clothes in the bathroom. Parking was easy, but pricey. ($42) a night. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The hotel is pricey for what you get as far as room quality. In this case, you're definitely paying for the location. In the future, I will plan to stay elsewhere. I prefer comfort and quality over location.

Staff were really lovely, not even a 10min walk to universal studios, free shuttle, staff really knowledgeable about what to do and even got to check in at 10am free of charge (which I wasn’t expecting). Rooms were really nice.

amazing view of LA, super convenient location near Universal Studios (which is why we stayed there), and they even had a shuttle going from Universal to the hotels back and forth every 10 minutes. all in all, they made it really easy for us to just enjoy our trip instead of worrying about logistics
the waiter at the downstairs restaurant had a really bad attitude before we even started speaking to her, and continued to take it out on us, even rolling her eyes as we thanked her and left :/ maybe she was just having a bad day but it made us really uncomfortable and we didn't feel welcome to the restaurant

Vallet was rude. Didn’t let us stay up front while we unloaded unless we paid $55 for Vallet. Then said hotel parking was $45. I feel like paying for parking when your paying for the hotel is poor taste. Families budget for trips and typically don’t expect to pay $150 additional for parking.

Soft beds and good water pressure.
Rooms were very small bathroom for a 5 star hotel not adequate. They didn’t put all three families together. The courtesy bus didn’t come every 15 minutes and no one wanted to advise just kept pointing to a QR code. Internet was poor. Room accessibly was poor. Book your room through alternative source such as booking treated as such. Happy to receive bookings from third parties but aren’t willing to accept or be responsible for the details these third parties provide in their bookings. For example booking.com stated breakfast included for all guests however upon attending breakfast stated it was only for two adults and children under 12 were also free. We advised when booking the age of children and this was in our booking confirmation. We then had to discuss this issue with staff and they begrudgingly gave us two complimentary passes. This was very unfortunate and uncomfortable and further made our stay unpleasant. I would not pay the money or stay there again. Not worth it in my opinion.

Location is very convenient to universal and the red line. You could walk but shuttles to the to park ran very regularly.
We had a corner room with very large windows which were really nice and made the room a nice place to relax. Shower was large and room was clean.
It was convenient to have parking right where our bags were being stored on the final day of our stay.
No negatives I can think of - if I'm being picky, it'd be great to get discounted parking on the day you check out as well.

The bathroom door makes a loud sound when it is closed, which makes the experience very, very poor. The glass door in the shower area was deformed, causing water to flow out into the bathroom when taking a shower. This device is not what it should be at this price.

Great location close to universal, felt safe on hotel grounds
The entire hotel smells really bad. I reported a sulfuric smell on check in and said I had visited a few other floors to report this upon which the hotel manager made jokes about me sniffing on every floor and kept condescendingly calling me ‘bud’. I’ve never had this experience at any other Sheraton or Marriott property. Housekeeping is also lacking as the rooms weren’t clean, and cleaners will knock on your door at 8am to ask when you’re leaving.
