The location was perfect for my needs. The room exceeded my expectations and I really like th fact that there were name brand soaps/shampoo/hand lotion/hand cleaner (Dove in this case) and not generic no-name items. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable with some of the best pillows I've seen in a hotel.
Price was pretty high, but not outrageous, I guess. Having to pay extra for parking is very unsatisfactory, paying as much as we did for the room and then another hefty payment per day for parking was, to me, outrageous.

The hotel is basically on Vanderbilt's campus. I was visiting due to the JSU v. TSU game and the hotel is literally across the street from the stadium. I also enjoyed exploring surrounding attractions and universities. I learned so much about Nashville on this trip! Wish I was able to take a dip in the pool - room service was great and quick! Loved the view from my room as well!
You can tell hotel was older but has been remodeled. Elevators were pretty slow but it was a busy weekend.

It was clean and had good food
The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the rooms were rather dated for the cost and they charge for parking AND breakfast
