Partnership with hotel next door. location.
Hot water was minimal for showers--only a trickle on my last day. Crowded lobby. Seaweed smell and seaweed filled beach (not your fault).

Everything was amazing.
Price of food was alittle high.

Our room was really lovely; well appointed, spacious and comfortable. Nice shower, comfortable bed, lovely clean sheets. Relaxed vibe. Beautiful pier. Fabulous sunrise. Great poolside staff - helpful towel dudes; fantastic poolside drinks/ lunch lady (must walk miles and miles per day!). Super helpful and friendly reception team.
Price point for every item is at the 'premium' level; which began to feel a little extractive given the premium room rate already paid (e.g. overnight parking in the hotel $50, when you've already paid $1,200 for two rooms for two nights feels OTT. We did received property credits with one of our room bookings, which took some of the edge of the final invoice). Other guests we talked to, both international and US-based, also noting high prices (glass of wine; cocktails; etc). VFM considerations for hotel management. Also, recognising the natural phenomenon, the heavy sargassum (seaweed) build-up on the beach was unsightly, smelly, and prevented anyone using the beach/ sea. All guests we talked to noted their disappointment. Early morning cockerel call (pre-sunrise) was a 'stimulating' start to the day: luckily we're early birds too!

We enjoyed dinner at the resort one evening, and it was a highlight of our stay. Everything was exceptional—from the cocktails and entrées to the delicious key lime pie. The food, atmosphere, and service made for a wonderful dining experience.
Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. The resort felt quite dated and in need of refurbishment. The pool area was smaller and less inviting than anticipated, with limited sun loungers and no poolside bar, which was disappointing for a resort-style property. We had booked and paid extra for a King Ocean View Apartment; however, the room primarily overlooked the pool, with only a small glimpse of the ocean visible in the distance. While the staff kindly upgraded us to a more appealing room, it still faced the pool with the ocean only in the background rather than offering the ocean view we had expected. The check-in experience was also frustrating. After waiting in line at reception for around 20 minutes, we were informed that our room would not be ready until the standard 4:00 pm check-in time, despite having already paid for early check-in. Overall, the property did not provide the experience or value we were expecting based on the description and room category booked. We booked through Booking.com, and when we raised our concerns about the room allocation, staff advised that there have been ongoing discrepancies between the room descriptions and images displayed on Booking.com and the rooms guests ultimately receive. This was disappointing, as the accommodation provided did not align with our expectations based on the listing we booked. One additional consideration for future guests is that the resort is quite spread out, and depending on your room location, you may have a considerable walk to reach your accommodation. We would recommend packing as lightly as possible, as luggage carts were limited during our stay and assistance with transporting bags to and from rooms was not always readily available.
