WAY WAY OVERPRICED

We really appreciated the area of town. It was around many restaurants and close to the things that we traveled to see. There was also plenty of parking so we had no issues parking near the hotel.

For what we paid, the hotel was NOT WORTH it. I picked Montrose because of the area and the smaller town feel (compared to Gunnison). However the beds were uncomfortable, breakfast was very minimal and we couldn't use the tv because most of the stations were not avaliable (for families). For about $300 a night it was NOT WORTH IT>

Staff was friendly, we had a problem, and they did resolve it by giving us another room, but it did mean transferring everything.

Our first room wasn't completely clean. The bathroom was dirty. Dirty towels, hair in the tub, toilet paper in the toilet, and a bar soap on the sink. The parking is not easy to access, the parking lot is terrible with a lot of potholes be have to be careful walking, handicapped parking was further away than a lot of regular parking.

There were little pieces of plastic in the Gravy. My husband had 4 bites where he found. We left after that.

Superb

The pool and spar were wonderful.

It was noisy in the morning with guests leaving early and the ice machine was just outside our room. We were offered a choice of floors and had we known maybe the top floor would have been better

Very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Minor inconveniences.

The property was well located near restaurants and gas stations. The TV wouldn't work but the staff took care of it by replacing the cable box TWICE and reprogramming the clicker to make it work. Kudos for their persistence.

The room arrangement was awkward. Need to replace the desk chair with arms with one without arms. It was very tight to get from the side of the bed near the wall to around the desk chair to the other side of the room. Very stingy with the plastic cups in the room, only two. Took 2-3 from the lobby water station. Only one regular coffee in the room and two decaf. When asked for additional regular, was told that they were out of regular. The entrance to the motel is not well marked. Have to go through the Safeway parking lot to get to it. The "entrance" sign at the Safeway lot does not have any indication that it is for the Holiday Inn. If you turn at the Holiday Inn sign you are in the Well Fargo bank drive through ATM's/tellers. Have to turn around, go back to street and turn into the Safeway lot.

Okay place to stay probably would try somewhere else as lots of options.

Lobby was nviting. Easy to find & near gas & grocery store. Room very clean

Breakfast needs work! Turkey sausage tasted like cardboard. Cheese omelet was good. No oatmeal either cooked or instant. Only had milk in gallon containers - messy to pour from. No cream or real half & half only flavored ones. Only offered apple juice in small bottles for juice. Fruit was apples- raisins to spoon onto you cereal. Lobby was pretty but rugs needed vacuuming due to high traffic.

The front desk personnel seemed distracted and more interested in something else rather than properly greeting us and ma

First of all, we were not greeted and thanked for being gold, IHG MEMBERS. when I asked if they had a luggage cart available, they looked in the foyer and not seeing one they simply stated, no, I guess they are all being used. 30 minutes later, there still wasn’t a cart available. When we got to our room, the cable box wasn’t working. The front desk did send someone right up but I had to coach her through how to reset the box and when that didn’t work, she didn’t have a solution to the problem. I asked if maybe we could swap boxes with a room that wasn’t being used? She did go and find one and came back to swap out our cable box for a different one. Problem solved!

Family Reunion in Montrose

Staff and all employees were courteous, friendly and helpful. Room was spacious comfortable and very clean. Breakfast had a nice variety of foods. Location was very convenient.

Tv service was marginal and difficult to work. Entrance into the parking lot was difficult to maneuver.
