This is the only hotel in Alexandria currently with a working pool and hot tub, which was the only reason we stayed here. The location was great being close to the bowling alley and so many stores and fast food places. The pillows and blankets were comfy, the attached restaurant had great food. My kids loved the rec area to play basketball and soccer.
The staff seemed to not have great communication. Some told us breakfast and dinner was free for the kids and gave us the coupons, others were saying only breakfast was free for them. The hallways had a lot of dead bugs, thankfully not in our room. Some of the rooms seemed more updated than others- we had a total of 3 rooms in our party. The A/C dehumidifier was SO loud that we couldn't sleep the first night. Once we turned it to only cool it was fine but then the room was extremely damp. We were greatful for a working pool and hot tub but the area was very outdated and dirty. The paint in the hot tub was peeling off by the chunks then floating in the water.

This place is like an old lodge. Its quaint and the bar is awesome with great staff. The way thw pool area is in the center of the hotel is a great idea. I would live to travel here with a group of friends.

The breakfast was good; what I'd expect from larger inner city hotels. The area was clean and food items were refilled quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful!

It's price.
Hot tub was to full. I couldn't sit, it covered my mouth. Our room smelt musty. The bathroom had a bad order. No complementary breakfast. Dinner was expensive.
