The lady at the Front Desk told me that my Citibank card had been declined, twice, due to being "Over Limit". I called Citi immediately, and they said, that, no, my card was actually approved, and there should be no problems with approval on my entire trip. I presented this info to the desk attendant, and she backtracked, and said, "yes, it seems to be ok". Right. wtf. That evening, we noticed very loud, boisterous girls in the adjacent room having a rollicking time, well past 11:00. After a couple of hours, we went down to the front desk (new employee now), and she asked us to please inform her if it happened again, as she would send security around and knock on the door if he heard anything, making his rounds. Sounds good. It took awhile, but it eventually dissipated. The next night, it happened again though, and we were disappointed. It was a full house due to the cruise the next morning, so there was no room for us to move. That said, the GM, I believe her name was Christina? was absolutely fabulous, as she was running F&B downstairs for breakfast, and was our server. She was awesome and was the one bright spot on our 2-night stay. Overall, the hotel is old, and it shows. It could be so much more, but, why pour millions into an aging relic? I have a feeling it won't be around another five years. The bedding was above reproach....very nice, and the A/C was quiet, which is always appreciated. Things we liked: Christina and the room itself....Things we could've done without, the nonsense at check-in, the noisy neighbors and the general vibe of an aging hotel.
