Location was convenient for our travel plans.
I couldn’t believe we paid $180/night what used to be $60 hotel pre Covid. And even that was nicer. No microwave, barely a fridge, shower was too high, I was too short to adjust a sprayer.

The bed was pretty comfortable.
The drinks at breakfast were warm. There was a huge open crack in the ceiling of my bathroom.

Breakfast was pretty good, not a huge selection, but everything seemed fresh. Good dark roast coffee. Fairly large parking lot that had ample parking spaces that weekend. Picture of room matched the room we got.
The price could have been a little better and the scent of whatever cleaner was used to clean the room was a bit overpowering for our liking. Would suggest (a) more natural type cleaner(s), believe this one had some essential extracts or oils in it that left a lasting scent impression and the windows don't open to allow some fresh air in. Unfortunately, the combo air conditioner/heating unit did nothing to clear out the scent.

breakfast was great! the only good thing about this hotel was the complimentary breakfast. we all enjoyed it
the staff was awful, they gave me the wrong room, there are dogs barking in the hallways, they lied to us about the pool and didn't let us use it. the hotel was in a bad area and it was dirty and not well kept

The staff, facilities and breakfast were fine
There was a young man’s hockey team staying there over the weekend. They were playing hockey in the hallways and keeping the entire hotel awake. They were not adequately controlled. I would like some kind of refund for Friday and Saturday nights.

BEWARE!! The staff charged me twice for the same booking, luckily I noticed the error on my credit card statement. After a lot of back and forth with customer service, I spoke with the hotel manager who blamed the error on Booking.com. When I contacted Booking.com they did not acknowledge any error on their side. The hotel manager agreed to undo the second charge but due to the fluctuations in exchange rate I did not get back all the money that I was overcharged. I called again to ask for the refund to be paid in full and the manager was curt and not helpful. He told me to contact Booking.com, but they were not able to do anything either so in the end I never got all my money back.
