It was all as expected! The property was located quite a bit from the city but we knew that when booking it. It’s more of a motel where a housekeeper comes in to replace the towels and empties the bins but doesn’t really do much more.
Our room was on the ground floor, you could hear knocking from nearby rooms. It did feel a bit unsafe at times, if I was staying alone I would be uncomfortable.

Newly renovated rooms. Mid-century modern style and large room. Tasteful colors inside of room. The mini fridge and the microwave are also really cute. It's close to downtown, midtown, and the galleria and could be used as a great central location for shopping and running errands. There's also a couple of walkable spots to eat nearby if you can't drive.
Really good lighting for dressing up or even makeup and mirror work. The tech in that is nice. General services and presentation are clean and tidy. The bed is comfy, but be aware that the sheets and comforter are fairly thin. Turn the air off if you run cold.
I grabbed it as a last minute spot to see friends this weekend.
I can tell the floor was not mopped well and I had to use one of the rags to wipe down any area I would be walking on and kept thick socks on the entire time. Mind you, that small face cloth was only a couple of areas no bigger than 4x4 ft. Beat the flowers Dusty or sticky but to the untrained eye they would just see an Earth tone wood.
I can also tell because on the side of the bed frame (can't tell if it's a metallic or plastic boxing) that it looks like there had been splashes of moisture or dirty water that were never wiped up. Headboard also had a major stain but there was a similar space and fabric in the common area you could tell was recently cleaned so stain on headboard makes no sense.
There's also no ironing board or iron. There's also no coffee maker.
There are no hangers but there are a few hooks. Having a rack (also topped in dust that I wiped before putting anything on) and ample shelf space, I'm unsure why there aren't any hangers or a coffee maker or even a hair dryer. So much is missing, even for a two star.
It is bare bone but the lack of proper mopping in the common space or even an iron for use is confusing to me because most two star hotels at least have those. The bathroom had bath soap and shampoo but no conditioner. Would not have been an issue but there was literally a missing container.
When I woke up I also smelled cigarette smoke. The doors lead to the outside and there is a severe lack of weather stripping on them so that scent emanated into my room from whoever was smoking on a balcony nearby.
I'm fairly strict about clean spaces and hotels that I'm going to so I would personally avoid this again, especially after the cigarette smoke in the morning after being annoyed with the cleanliness of the night before. I've stayed in motels that were cleaner than some 4-star hotels so again, I would suggest looking into your cleaners cutting corners. Mopping properly is top, especially with bare floors.
