OYO Waterfront Hotel- Cape Coral Fort Myers, FL

Great location, friendly staff, the room was adequate, a nice view of the waterfront and a very clean pool. They seem to be renovating the hotel. I would definitely go back.

The furniture is is outdated and there is absolutely nothing in the the kitchen. No cookware, utensils, no tableware, no cutlery, no glassware and no tea towels. Front desk gave me a couple of mugs and a glass. We had to buy everything else.

The pool was clean and access was easy. Views were beautiful and the 2 men in the office were very polite, and it was very convenient that the front office was open until midnight, in case we had issues. Mike specifically, was a sweetheart.

There were bugs in our rooms (we got more than 1), what looked like poop smeared on the bathroom walls, the shower was angled toward the wall and you couldn't move it so you had to "hug the wall" just to shower. Our top safety latch was a random screw in the door that you would have to loosen or tighten to latch on, and the doors and walls could use a repaint or a serious cleaning because there's marks all over them. The cleaning ladies barely spoke any english, so communication was a problem. And at one point, we had an issue with our room went to the front desk and told them and that we did not want anybody in our room until we came back. When we had gotten back, it was beyond obvious that they did not listen to us and went in our room without us there. There were also no phones in the room to call the front desk/office. The pool furniture could use an update too, there were barely any (not like in the pictures, maybe 2 real tanning chairs total) and about 6-7 sitting chairs.
