The property is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds, great pools, and spacious rooms. The staff was friendly, and we especially appreciated the late checkout, which allowed our children to enjoy the pool after the crowds had cleared…
We booked this hotel months in advance to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and expected a relaxing family vacation. Instead, the resort was extremely overcrowded because of a very large recovery conference.
Our biggest disappointment was that Marriott never informed guests about this event before our arrival. Had we known, we would have canceled our reservation and stayed elsewhere. This type of event was simply not a good fit for our family, and guests should be able to make an informed decision before booking.
Instead of the peaceful resort atmosphere we expected, it felt more like a crowded Las Vegas hotel. The pools, restaurants, and common areas were packed, making it difficult to relax and enjoy our stay.
While we respect the purpose of the conference, we did not feel comfortable having our children in that environment. Families should be informed in advance when a resort is hosting a large event like this so they can decide whether it is the right place for their vacation.
