The location was fantastic ..walkable to many of the attractions.
Not the hotels fault- I just happened to stay there when the hotel was in the process of major renovations. Otherwise, I will definitely return

The location and the history of the place are amazing and cannot be beat! We walked into Old Town and then back to our room midday to beat the heat. Then back out in the evening. Perfect!
The pool. Oddly shallow, which leads to oddly warm, and with a pool liner ?? That was a first for me. And the four dead container palms (no doubt due to the February freeze, but it's July now...... ) The entire pool area was not on a par with the rest of the facility.

The location was excellent. We were so close to everything and within walking distance to great restaurants. We were so intrigued by the amazing art collection throughout the entire hotel almost everything was for sale. Quite the collection! A must for art lovers loved. We enjoyed our evening cocktails with the bartenders and got so much info and history about the Kessler connection it was fascinating.
When checking in the desk recognized that we had been with Bonvoy for many years. With that acknowledgement we usually get just a little extra special treatment for our loyalty. We were assigned a room right next to the gym, and it was tiny. Originally, we booked a king size room but were put in what I thought was a less than desirable room with a double bed. The staff did rectify this, and we were moved to a room with King size bed. So, in the end it was all good. Front desk staff could benefit from better training to recognize and reward longtime customers.
