Courtyard Waterbury Downtown

Everything was great except one thing. The AC in the riom was freezing & I could not adjust it to make it warmer. I called for someone to check it and no one ever came. I ended up putting extra pillows on top of the air vents so less air wouldn’t come through.

I was pleasantly surprised by the property which you can tell was recently renovated. The lobby was tasteful;;y decorated and restaurant and bar looked great. The rooms were very nice, clean, spacious, amenities were nice and overall it was a great stay in the Brass City. I honestly did not expect it to be so nice in Waterbury. It was a relaxing trip and the parking garage was a short walk across the street from the hotel.

I could wish the hotel offered free coffee at least, because the Starbucks is too strong and too expensive. They need new mattressess, and a few new air conditioners apparently (mine was literally 'screaming' when it kicked on). Cleaning could be improved.. there was leftover food in the fridge when I arrived. The shining star of the place was the staff; Extremely friendly, professional, helpful, and caring; I was particularly pleased with the front desk clerk who was kind enough to change my room without issue when I mentioned the screaming AC unit. I wish I got his name. But, then, all of the staff were exemplary.

The mattresses were not comfortable. (In the 2 rooms I wound up in for my 3 day stay)

The hotel was very good, check-in was great and the bar and bistro was excellent.

The Boarding pass area didn't have a printer and the staff on duty said they didn't have a printer either. Why do you have a boarding pass computer but no printer to print the boarding pass. Only one person at the desk to check people out and he was on a phone call, so I had to wait 15 minutes to get checked out.
