Fairfield Inn and Suites Flint Fenton

The property was very nice. A big plus- we arrived early for the wedding we were attending that afternoon and the desk clerk was very accommodating and checked us in early so we could freshen up from our travels 😊

We had difficulty with the thermostat in the room

Close to family, restaurants and shopping.

Faucet in bathroom squeaked. The water for shower was barely lukewarm.There was a broken tile on bathroom floor.

Breakfast was good. Some of the chairs were not! We moved to another table. The bed in the room was comfy.

I wish hotels would put comfy chairs in the rooms. Missed having a microwave for popcorn.

The breakfast guy was amazing and the staff are kind and helpful. The location to downtown Fenton and the Renaissance Festival was amazing ! The beds were super comfortable and it was clean. Thank goodness it was clean because it was questionable when we pulled in. The rooms were also spacious and the water pressure was amazing! I would recommend eatting at the restaurants in Fenton and exploring the downtown area, a lot of what surrounds the hotel was really nice, even the Kroger! I would probably stay again if I got the same price but my aunt and uncle paid double what we did and I would not book for that. They gave us complimentary water for the road.

The building is extremely run down from the outside to the inside. You can tell as soon as you find it. Its not easy to find sometimes even with the GPS. The gas station next door is closed so dont go there. They do charge for parking which is just dumb, no one would park there and for the cost of the rooms, I think they have other concerns and should use that money to hire a grounds keeping company or worker. The pool is tiny and questionable along with the elevator. Our bathroom had a cracked sink, rusted parts of the tub, water concerns in the ceiling. They charge way too much for what you get! I got a room super early when booking and paid less than my aunt and uncle who got it about a week later and it had doubled. They also bad to change rooms because their first room was definitely not worth the money and smelled. It was NOT worth what they paid and pushing what we paid. They really have so much potential so it is sad. I probably would also go back if they dropped parking fee and cleaned the outside just because of the location to the festival. Honestly, if you just need a place to sleep and then go to the Ren fest all day, go to q nice restaurant in Fenton, it might be worth it depending when you can book the room and the price. I am just shocked because the pictures don't match and it needs some definite updates. I am also shocked at what you get for them to be branded Marriott and 3 star hotel. I know its close to Flint but once you see and explore Fenton, it doesn't fit in. I want them to be able to charge higher fees and still be in buisness but they could use hotel improvements so badly. The price and the quality right now don't match. I think their employees deserve better too!
