Good position, but bad experience with the room!
Position
The heat in our room was so high that we couldn't sleep because of the stifling heat. Despite the receptionist coming up to help me with the very old radiator, we had to sleep with the window open to try to lower the temperature, with little success. We practically didn't sleep a wink all night.

Um desastre. Sujo e desconfortável.
Hotel sem escadas, frente do hotel com enorme quantidade de lixo, vimos vários ratos passando na calçada em frente a porta principal. Banheiro com box muito sujo. Porta quebrada. Ficamos na suíte 306.

Perfect place in the centre of the city!
We've stayed in a variety of hotels in New York, and this was easily one of our favourites and one we'll return to. Fantastic location, comfortable bed, great sized room, and very quiet and peaceful. Also, loved the theming and decor! Perfect stay for us, and we'll be returning next time we're in town.
There's nothing I'd raise here -- the hotel was excellent and exceeded our expectations. We have stayed in a variety of places around the city over many years and this is currently our favourite and where we'll book next time we return.

Great Location, Comfy beds, but could be SO much better with some thought.
Chelsea pines is in a great location, right next to the subway station 14th Street and about a 5 minute walk from Chelsea Market and the High Line. The beds were comfortable, the shower and bathroom were nice. The accommodation seemed clean and tidy. We arrived Christmas Day, as a family of 3, myself, my wife and 6 year old son.
The decor was very dark and dated and didn't really look like the photos online. In our room, there was a wardrobe which had a fridge, ironing board and safe in, so wasn't much space at all for the 3 of us to put our clothes and shoes and we did travel very light - there were so drawers at all. There were no coat hooks even on the door to hang your coats so everything was kind of dumped in our bags on the floor which wasn't ideal. The room was quite big but space and furniture was not utilised well. Only 1 plug socket worked in the room, and 1 in the bathroom, the others were basically hanging out the wall/broken and live which we spoke to the hotel about - staff were nice, came to have a look, apologised. We were just careful and managed with the 2 sockets to charge our phones/i pads etc without them falling in the sink! The bedside light didn't work (probably due to the electrics - so at night we had to get out of bed to turn the light off. Our room faced the road, although the hotel itself was quiet, the road was noisy at night with sirens, people walking past which can't be helped in a city, but my wife did buy earplugs. The black out blind on the window fell off half way through the night on the first 2 nights. It woke me up and then was very bright from the streetlights outside and then dawn...they put it back up after the first night, however when it fell down for the second night running we came back to it being gone altogether so then it was very light in the mornings. Breakfast was included but it was in a shared kitchen kind of set up, literally with kitchen cupboards and toasters and kettles, felt like we were in someone else's kitchen - had the basics, bread, butter, jam, cereal. We ate there once but then after that went out to breakfast. We were busy exploring each day, so didn't spend a great deal of time here other than to sleep. It wasn't particularly cosy but it served a purpose.
