If you want a place to crash and a leave your items while you’re out exploring “richest hill on Earth”, then you’d have a pretty good deal with Motel 6 in Butte, Montana. I arrived to the hotel at midnight on foot (after a long uphill walk from the bus station, at an hour in which no cabs or app-based rides are available), where there was a friendly, professional staff member waiting to sign me in to a room that I would find to be very clean and accommodating. In my room there was a television, and table, fridge, hangers for clothes and an adequate bathroom with towels and several bars of soap. In fact, the shower had no difficulty producing hot water on the spot, and I experience a good much needed sleep on a very clean and comfy bed. Therefore, if you are not a traveler obsessed with trivial commodities and over-abundance in luxury— if you are a traveler who simply wants a simple, clean and comfortable room at good value, and you want to explore downtown Butte (which offers plenty of history to see), then try this hotel.
Nothing wrong about this property. A complementary breakfast wouldn’t hurt with the free coffee, but again, I see no issue this this place, albeit my stay was for 12 hours.

Riding the GDMBR in the USA we as guests come with 2 loaded bicycles that need to go in a room. The hotel was well placed for the bike shop, eatery’s and the continuation of our route. This Motel 6 was 100% better than the last Motel 6, so well done to the staff, who were proactive. The location is also in the old Uptown of Butte with interesting architecture and history with the mining. 2 very good eatery’s with O’Donnell’s Irish Pub and Metal (with the old bank vault still in the dining room).

The lighting in the room, the hand towels they called bath towels. Overall it's a solid place to stay.

Clean and ok place to stay while passing through. Basic and clean.
Expensive for what you get, no shampoo in the room, we did ask but they didn’t have any.
