Comfort Inn & Suites Panama City - St Andrew

I said the location was not too far from our destination. And it wasn’t too far from local shopping. Breakfast was good. It appears that they change the menu each day from omelettes to eggs over easy to sausage links or and sausage patties. Other items served daily like waffles, grits, oatmeal, bread, bagels, cereal, milk, and orange shoes for apple juice. Also, there was coffee, coffee drinkers overall they had a decent selection. My parents were excited to at least have a meal that they didn’t have to pay for, especially during to travel we try to always make sure that certain immunities are available one other thing I can add, though the breakfast room was a very large size however, those chairs were born in peeling at first glance. That was inappropriate and not tasteful. Aesthetically not pleased it was probably about 20 chairs, I feel like either the chairs can be replaced or upholstered. I’m not sure if the chairs were donated, either way I’m sure that management can see that the chairs are peeling. So I was suggest that they go to Sam or Costco or Amazon in order 12 nice breakfast chairs they might cost anywhere from $20-$30 a chair. It’s worth the investment as long as people don’t complain people just ignore these types of things that seem minor, then nothing gets done.

I didn’t like the pungent smell of mildew and damp carpet. I feel that when management is aware of guests arriving and it will be a busy weekend, seasonal changes, the hotel must prepare the facility with spray and or scent machines and Dehumidifiers. I work in schools and have to do the same things and as a strategy project manager, I would make sure that my schools did not have an odors or and if and when odors would come through the ventilation the ventilation system, I was on it, I called Environmental Specialist, maintenance crew, janitorial group, in other words, all hands on deck. And whatever it cost for our staff and students. I feel like because I’ve undergone that level of expertise and Facilities management that I’m sensitive to the CARE and maintenance and upkeep of these facilities.

It wasn’t that far of a drive from the main strip.

There was a weird smell when we first walked into the room but it didn’t last long.

Ever thing was great and the room was clean

No hot water

I expected more from the breakfast, especially since we paid extra for that. But the staff was very friendly, I have no complaints about them at all.

The rooms smelled of mildew and we even bought air fresheners to try and get the smell out and nothing worked. The floors weren’t clean and I had a baby with me who is crawling so I hated feeling bad she was crawling on a dirty floor. Not all of the lights worked. The couches were ripped and had stains on them. The room was so hot we couldn’t get it to cool off our whole stay. Which made sleeping hard. The pillows were odd and uncomfortable. They had the ice bucket and the coffee maker in the bathroom which I’ve never seen before anywhere else and that grossed me out. Also the ice machine didn’t work even if I were to want to use the ice bucket.
