Canalside Inn

For a last-minute family trip, I was pleasantly surprised at how great the Canalside Inn was for our weekend away. Hidden away in a corner just off of the main part of Rehoboth Beach, it was perfect for our vacation. Our dogs had a great time, and I cannot say enough about how amazing the owners and the staff were.

Walking distance to the beach with our dog.

In the back. Next time we will ask for a front room for access to the deck.

room was comfortable and spacious

everything was good

The location was great and the room was clean.

While the room was clean it didnt have that much space. We brought a crate for our dog. Between that and luggage there isn't a lot of room. While this hotel accepts dogs, I didnt realize it was basically a dog hotel. I'm sure everyone there had a dog so when one dog barks, they all bark. Lastly, my dog got sick after our first night and we had to leave. I contacted the property asking if they could refund us anything for the nights we weren't staying and they said no. Poor business practice in my opinion but then again this place is going out of business so I'm not surprised. I recommend somewhere else if you're looking for a calm getaway with your dog.
