This is an old motel. If you are looking for something new and airy, this is not for you. However, if you are looking for a clean, safe, quiet place to rest for the night at a fantastic price, this is for you.
Not a criticism - just an old place. The line where the sink connects to the wall - the sealant was cracked.

A Karnes Grocery store was less than a 1/2 mile away and we were able to find fresh healthy food choices, so we ate in our room. Additionally, even though we did not need it, we noted a hospital with an emergency room was even closer than the grocery store. The staff were very friendly and responded to our requests quickly, so our overall experience was wonderful.

Friendly staff. Clean. Good value.
Toilet was WAY too small. Small, very low, round toilet from the 50s or 40s. I reserved a handicapped accessible room specifically to get a decent sjzed bathroom and toilet for my partner who is a bigger guy and uses a mobility scooter, but they put us in a regular room. He had a very difficult time using the facilities.

Hotel is outdated but met expectations. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but fresh and clean and sufficient.
