We loved absolutely EVERYTHING about our stay at American River Inn! We can’t say enough wonderful things! It’s a beautiful property, with so much character and charm! Dawn is a wonderfully sweet and welcoming innkeeper; she is so warm and fun to chat with.

Comfortable, Staff and Breakfast !
Not really a dislike, knew going that the Inn is a B & B, so my room did not have a Microwave or Small Refrigerator.

Breakfast was good.
Maybe I wasn’t that ready to step back into the history .. I really missed the modern comforts I take for granted & I wouldnt want to go back there .
There was no coffee in the rooms , no tv, no toiletries in the bathroom, there were stains on the staircase that looked like bloodstains (although we were told it’s plum juice stains) . The staff didn’t seem motivated to make guests happy . The bed height was so high .. it made it hard to climb up the bed. I paid twice the price of a normal modern hotel and didn’t find value for what I paid.
