The Hyland Inn Brea is a great motel for stays in the area. It's no frills, but nicely renovated and clean, and all the amenities work well. The check-in/check-out experience is easy, and the staff (owner?) is friendly and efficient.
A minor issue: the windows just have a blackout curtain, but no sheer curtains. That means you have to use the blackouts (and lights) even when it's light outside.

The price was good.
Honestly we’ve stayed here a few times. And this time it just felt like the room wasn’t as clean or nice as past visits.
